Tracen's helpful hobby

Trace is really into folding laundry right now. Don't ask me where this comes from because it is a chore I struggle with-that and emptying the dishwasher. BLAH!
Tracen has had the knack of folding since before he was three when he started with hand towels and wash clothes. He has since graduated to all things that make their way through the rinse and fluff cycles -except socks which are intensely complicated little buggers- and now he asks me if he can help fold the mounds of clean clothes that reside on my bed. He is seriously gifted!! He removes them from the dryer, folds them neatly, puts them in piles and then carries them up the stairs to their drawers. It is a beautiful sight and one that near brings me to tears!!
I know it's too much to ask that this phase/hobby never ends, but I'm sure going to enjoy it while it lasts! Thank you Tracen. Your mother loves you! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

oh tracen! there is not a faster way to secure a spot in your mother's heart! :)

my youngest sister came over on Friday to help me fold a pile of laundry that was literally mounded high and falling off my queen size bed. She looked kind of disgusted with me and made the suggestion to fold it as it came out of the dryer.

I laughed (and forgave her due to innocence/ignorance) and told her that this was only just the laundry that had accumulated since Tuesday.
(3 days)

oh laundry.
